2015 – Our inaugural year, and so much fun! We supported Friends and Angels: The Tracey Vicere Foundation and raised $1,109.25 in addition to the physical donations of games and toys requested by the charity.
How we got Started
Sarah was introduced to giving via her religious school and several other events and fundraisers that her parents participated in. So much so, that she always wanted to give away her money and always buy toys for the kids who did not have them. When her parents suggested that she needed to earn her contributions (so she would value the donation more). Sarah decided that instead of a Martial Arts birthday party, she would hold a “party to help charity“. This was the genesis of her One Minute Challenge fund raiser. The event was so much fun and very successful, and is now an annual event.
In 2015 her One Minute challenge brought participants and donors together to raise over $1,100 and many requested items to benefit Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center’s Oncology division via the Friends & Angels: The Tracy Vicere Foundation.
Sarah has been training at Tiger Schulmann’s Martial Arts since 2014. She is currently a high green belt.
We love our sponsors and donors and welcome your feedback and suggestions.
